Experiential training for teachers, youth workers, artists, counsellors and trainers...
LIFEbeat's 2-day workshop training is based on the idea that everyone is creative and that you don't have to be a professional artist to use arts-based practices to powerful effect in your work with adults and young people:
“Imagine leading groups infused with participation and excitement, where people take creative risks and connect from the heart. Imagine classrooms and youth programs where students are eager to learn, brimming with energy and enthusiasm. And picture yourself feeling creative and grounded in your work, enjoying yourself to the fullest.”
You will discover basic skills using arts-based practices to facilitate groups and receive a tool-box of easy-to-lead activities. You will gain confidence in your own creativity and learn:
- How to use creative techniques to build group cohesion and enliven learning
- Ways to develop safe environments for authentic communication
- Techniques that inspire full participation
- How to weave theatre, story telling, creative writing, visual arts, music and movement into your program.

TESTIMONIES “Since doing the training quite a few of my colleagues have commented on my improvement at work. My facilitation skills have massively improved – I feel so much more confident now that I have tricks up my sleeve and a huge repertoire of activities to run. Also now that I have more belief in my own creativity and abilities, I have been more imaginative with my courses, which have made them more fun for both staff and young people. Thank you!” - Youth worker, London “The training was filled with two days of activities that helped a group of fantastic individuals including myself tap into they own creativity. The workshop was uplifting and left me with lots of refreshing ideas.” “The weekend training session helped to affirm my ideas about education and inspired me. I left with a feeling of hope and a rush of great enthusiasm, which was shared by all who took part.”
“I attended the Creative Facilitation training with LIFEbeat and was able to use the lessons I learned directly in my classroom on my return. It was great: the children responded brilliantly to the exercises and, delightfully for me, my class that day happened to be assessed and was rated 'outstanding'.” - Teacher, London |
